Verse 285

آمَنَ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِۦ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍۢ مِّن رُّسُلِهِۦ ۚ وَقَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِير

The Messenger believes in what has been revealed to him from his Lord, and so do the believers. All believe in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. We make no distinction between any of His messengers. And they say: We hear and we obey. Our Lord! We seek Your forgiveness, and to You is our return.

Verse 286

لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا ٱكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَآ إِن نَّسِينَآ أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَآ إِصْرًۭا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِۦ ۖ وَٱعْفُ عَنَّا وَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَآ ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَىٰنَا فَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ

Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity. For every soul is what it has earned, and upon it is what it has done. Our Lord! Do not seize us if we forget or err. Our Lord! Do not lay upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord! Do not lay upon us a burden beyond our capacity. Forgive us, forgive us, have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so help us against the disbelievers.

20 Great Benefits of Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayats

1. Protection By Allah

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him.”

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 5009 – Sahih Muslim)
